I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for this week, but I really didn’t want to skip it completely. I had surgery and have not been able to get out to take any photos. While sitting at home watching tv and recovering I decided I should try HDR processing of images I’ve recently taken with my Nokia Icon Windows phone. This crazy little thing has a 20 mega pixel camera built-in!
Having a phone with a great camera built-in makes scouting for locations a dream. It also allows for taking photos in places that pulling out a camera might not be most appropriate, either due to societal norms, or environmental safety. I really wanted a Nokia phone with a great camera and finally Verizon Wireless brought the Icon into their lineup. I’m really happy with this purchase. Not only is it a great phone, I really like the OS, and it has this spectacular camera. Although it has 8 mega pixels more than my Olympus camera, it shouldn’t be assumed that it is a better camera. Remember, the sensors on cell phones are still tiny compared to any good digital camera. But, it does take great images.
So, let’s get to some images from my recent trip to Seattle. All taken with the Nokia Icon.

This was a fun week in Seattle, and I am so glad you found something to do with the photos!
I likable all the sewing machines.
