Exciting week with some images created local and others at coast. The local subject this week was the old Brewery building. An investor has purchased the old Brewery and is working on plans for mixed use purposes. They have a lot of work ahead of them, so will be interesting to see if they succeed. As a photography subject, the old Brew House is wonderful structure and piece of history.
When I look at the old Brew House, I tend to get a vibe from the building that it has been forgotten.

At the end of the week, I arrived in Seabrook, WA with my wife and her father’s side of the family for a combo reunion/birthday parties/baby shower. I love coming to the coast and the textures, colors, and sound. Sadly, photography doesn’t lend itself to sound so much, but it can sure bring out the colors and textures.

Ok, since I love the coast so much, and my lovely wife found an unexpected object, I’m going to spotlight additional images this week!

We found a red glass float in the roots of a driftwood stump. The float is inscribed with “WCCC 2011” so it is a pretty new float, and possibly even placed by someone. We will never really know. And yes, we did take it home.
Let’s end the week with a sunset….although the image was actually created on our first night here at the coast.

And finally, the gallery of my other images I liked from the week.
loved the old brewery. wished I had been at the beach too!
I had a wonderful time watching Tim’s thoughtful approach to taking pictures.
